Matteo Bobbi

Born in Milan in 1978 former racing driver and now Italian sports commentator for SKY Sport has began his sports career by racing in Go Kart in various categories obtaining numerous victories and Becoming an official Dunlop driver. In the 2000s he switched to motor racing first in Formula Renault and later in the championship World Series by Nissan achieving numerous victories and pole positions. He also participates with Formula 3 in the Macau international race by finishing 6 ( best rookie and Italian driver). His numerous positive results earned him the engagement as a test driver and third driver in Team Minardi of F1, actively participating in the development of the cars. In 2003 he won the prestigious Golden Helmet as the best Italian driver. Also in 2003, he is hired by the BMS Scuderia Italia team to race in the FIA GT World Championship with the Ferrari 550 Maranello in pair with Thomas Biagi, winning it. He thus became World Champion at the first attempt. The following years saw him always starring in the World Championship paired with other drivers such as Gabriele Gardel and Jaime Melo with whom he participates in the GT2 world championship with the Ferrari 430 of the AF Corse team - Official Ferrari team. He won it again, thus becoming GT World Champion for the second time. He has also raced in the USA in the Rolex Grand Am benchmark championship with various cars powered in official form from Ford and Lexus. In 2005, he is the official face for the campaign in the United States of Crown Royal (well-known whiskey brand). He also participated in the Le Mans Series championship with an Lmp2 car. winning on his debut, and ran the famous 24-hour endurance race at Le Mans. He has been a commentator, pundit and face of F1 for Sky Italia since 2014. In 2019, he is one of three judges, along with to Federica Masolin and Alessandro Borghese, from the talent "Race" aired on Sky and Tv8 . Face for Verti Insurance's 2019 campaign, frequently collaborates with prestigious brands automotive for campaigns and presentations (Toyota, Hyundai).
