Giancarlo Fisichella

Giancarlo Fisichella, born in Rome on January 14, 1973, is an Italian racing driver who races with Ferrari- AF Corse in the World Endurance Championship. After experience with karts, in Formula 3 and in the Touring Car Championships, he raced in Formula 1 from 1996 to 2009 with Minardi, Jordan, Benetton, Sauber, Renault, Force India and Ferrari, competing in 231 grands prix and scoring 275 rainbow points. He won the 2003 Brazilian Grand Prix, the 2005 Australian Grand Prix and the 2006 Malaysian Grand Prix. He took pole position in the 1998 Austrian Grand Prix, 2005 Australian Grand Prix, 2006 Malaysian Grand Prix and 2009 Belgian Grand Prix, and the fastest lap in the 1997 and 2005 Spanish Grand Prix. He was also a test-driver for Minardi in 1995 and for Ferrari in 1996, 2010, 2011 and 2012. He currently competes in the World Endurance Championship with AF Corse's Ferrari 458 Italia. Fisichella voiced the character of Boost for the Italian edition of the animated film Cars - Roaring Engines. A soccer fan, he is a Roma fan, plays in the top role in the Nazionale Piloti, a team made up of car and motorcycle drivers who play matches for charity, and occasionally in the Nazionale Cantanti. He has been a spokesperson for Drive Beer. On January 14, 2012, he was a dancer for a night on Dancing with the Stars. Since the 2014 season, he has been a special correspondent for Rai in the Ferrari pit.
