Enrico Papi

Enrico Papi is one of Italy's best-known TV hosts and the historical face of Italia 1, a broadcaster for which he has hosted successful programs such as "Sarabanda," "Freshmen & Meteors," "The Game of Nine," "La pupa e il secchione," and "Wheel of Fortune." In 1996 he participated in Pippo Baudo's "Numero Uno" and Gerry Scotti's "Il Quizzone." The following year he led the variety show "Sarabanda," which would become the longest-running and most famous music quiz show on Italian television. This was followed by "Buona Domenica" (1997) and "Ciao Darwin" (1998), while between 1999 and 2000 he joined Raffaella Carrà first in "Carràmba! Che fortuna!" then at the conduction of "Dopofestival di Sanremo" (2001), in which he also held the role of envoy backstage at the Ariston Theater for interviews and news, dusting off the passion for gossip that had seen him among Italy's most famous paparazzi in the 1990s, at the helm of "Papi Quotidiani," a gossip column on Channel 5. In 2016 we find him on Rai 1: in the spring he is in the cast of "Ballando con le stelle," and in the fall he is among the protagonists of the sixth edition of "Tale e quale show." The following year he released his first music single "Mooseca," which to date boasts more than 16,000,000 views on Youtube. In June 2017, he returned to prime time on Italia 1 with three special episodes of Sarabanda, which would be followed by hosting "The Night of Records" and the new quiz show "Guess my age - Indovina l'età," a successful pre-evening show aired daily on TV8, which he would host for four editions. In fall 2020, he leads the new music game show "Name that tune - Guess the song" in prime time, returning in April the following year with the second edition. He is also the host of the finals of the 10th and 11th editions of "Italia's got talent." After his Sky experience, he returns to Mediaset in 2021 to host a brand new and successful edition of Scherzi a parte, for six prime-time shows on Channel 5. In 2022 he joined the cast, as a pundit, of the seventeenth edition of "L'Isola dei Famosi" alongside Ilary Blasi and Vladimir Luxuria.
